We're looking for an Associate QA Engineer who is passionate about golf, understands the importance of execution, and is motivated to continuously improve product quality.
In this role, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring our golf tech solutions meet the highest standards. This includes, but is not limited to; iOS mobile, Android mobile, various websites, database abstraction, on-course testing, and ClickUp documentation for project sprints. You will collaborate closely with our development teams to conduct rigorous testing, resolve issues, and enhance overall performance, while also supporting automated testing efforts. You’ll play a key role in maintaining quality and helping our Customer Experience team understand new product releases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance Testing: Conduct thorough testing of golf tech software and hardware, ensuring functionality, reliability, and performance align with company standards.
- Issue Identification and Resolution: Identify software bugs, hardware defects, and usability issues, while collaborating with developers to resolve these problems efficiently.
- Automated Testing Assistance: Support the development and maintenance of automated testing scripts and procedures to streamline repetitive tasks and ensure consistent quality across products.
- Test Planning and Execution: Create and execute test plans and cases for both new features and existing products, ensuring timelines are met.
- Effective Communication: Share test results and detailed feedback clearly with teams and stakeholders; work closely with the Customer Experience team to explain product updates and releases.
- Time Management: Skillfully manage time between repetitive testing tasks and more complex, large-scale software cycles. Adapt to evolving priorities in the fast-paced product development environment.
- Documentation: Maintain clear, accurate documentation for testing processes, results, and defect reports.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, developers, and support staff to ensure seamless integration and delivery of top-quality products.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest trends in golf tech and quality assurance practices. Proactively suggest process improvements to increase efficiency and product quality.
- Data-Driven Testing: Work with large datasets, validate data integrity, and collaborate with data teams to ensure optimal software performance.
Qualifications:
- Passion for Golf: A strong enthusiasm for golf and a deep understanding of the sport's technical aspects.
- Motivated Performer: Driven to deliver high-quality results with attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
- Experience: Experience in QA, preferably in tech; familiarity with software development and testing methodologies.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, experience with data warehouses (like Snowflake), bug tracking systems (Jira, ClickUp), and API testing tools (Postman). Familiarity with automated testing frameworks is a plus.
- Strong Communicator: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, able to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences.
- Adaptability and Time Management: Able to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Capable of handling both repetitive tasks and more complex projects with focus.
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience is welcomed.
